Project Summary

ENGLISH VERSION
The project aims at providing social and spiritual aid to women in a condition of a crisis (long-term unemployment, lack of permanent housing, extremely poor living conditions, being addicted to alcohol, suffering from mental impairments, low self-esteem, feeling despair and being socially excluded) and supporting them to return back to the labour market and integrate into the society. To this end, individual consultations provided by a social worker (providing information, raising women’s motivation in looking for a job, mediating, representing, etc), workshops fostering women’s work skills such as handmade cards production workshops, cookery workshops, self-help groups and other educational events are planned. The project is based on the theory of “perspective of strengths”, which maintains that every person possesses internal and external resources that are necessary to overcome a crisis. Working with a woman, a children’s mother, who very often is alone in bringing up her children, it is possible to maintain a family which is the main institution for a child’s growth and development.
