The main objective of  Fondation Enfants Solidarité is to contribute to better the quality of life of the people in needs, particularly the Youth through supporting the community schools and promoting Culture. It consists also in implementing specialized health services for the poor and diabetes is our main focus.

La Fondation Enfants Solidarité a pour objectif l’amélioration de la qualité de vie des gens des milieux défavorisés et plus particulièrement de celle des jeunes à travers un soutien aux écoles communautaires et la promotion de la culture. Elle est aussi destinée à offrir des services spécialisés en santé aux plus démunis.  Le dépistage du diabète est notre objectif principal. 

ENGLISH VERSION
The project consists is strengthening the actions of  the CIDIA-PRL, “ Centre Info-Diabetes”,   devoted to the popularization of information about diabetes, screening, assistance and monitoring.  The CIDIA-PRL project consists in:
Demystify diabetes, tackling taboos and make accessible all factors pertaining to diabetes; Conduct exploratory surveys about the prevalence of diabetes in the Commune of Saint-Marc: Several times a year FESSM/CIDIA-PRL organize diabetes screening days in different neighborhoods of the city of  Saint-Marc to identify the diabetics among an impoverished population  in order to educate  them by providing information as to the cause and consequences of the disease.  If one tests positive, CIDIA/PRL provides educative material about special nutrition and provides medical assistance.    The request is to organize five screening days.
