Tabitha Foundation was set up as a charitable organisation in 1998. Its many projects include a sewing workshop where women who would otherwise be unemployed make bed linen to supply to orphanages. Without this supply, the orphans would sleep on bare mattresses as bed linen is considered a luxury item. The current project is to use the sewing workshop to teach sewing skills to girls about to leave their orphanages, thereby giving them the possibility of earning a living and leading a decent life.
The NATO Wives Bazaar ASBL donated 10.200,-- Euro for the fabric of 1.000 bed linen.
