The organisation was set up in 1995 to distribute food to poor families in the parish of Saint Vincent de Paul in Evere. Designated shops provide central collection points for the food and money is raised through individual donations and by the Church.

The donation of 3.275,-- Euro is meant for buying food for the poor families for one year.
