The IRCT supports the victims of torture.

They receive a grant of 9950 euros from the NWB in support of a program of reconstructive ear surgery for Iraqis whose ears were amputated, without anesthesia, as a punishment for army defection during the Saddam Hussein regime. IRCT has trained surgeons and nurses in the procedure, and the first two Iraqi victims have been successfully operated in London ! Fundraising continues, to assist as many victims as possible from the IRCT’s base in Basra.
